London Scale Show (OCT 4) -- COVERAGE REPORT
The London Scale Model Show, held annually in London, ONT. was October 4. This year it played host to a variety of works and artists: Douglas Lee, this years World Expo BoS award winner (for diorama) was there with his own both selling models and magazines. He also had his most recent diorama in the display-only section: The show also played host to an on-going raffle, the crowd seen here: This year, there were .. RIDICULOUSLY.. more entries than last year. At least in all of the figure categories. It was a HUGE improvement and I was really happy that I decided on bringing 7 of my pieces from the last year or so and 2 ancient ones for good measure! Dragomir had his Nurgle tank from this years GD with which he won the Sci-fi/space award. Some of us: Dragomir with the coolest trophy ever. My haul for the year .. That too :) Then there was this guy who wanted me to take his picture with his guardsman.. something about him reminded me greatly of Andrew.. Hope you enjoyed that little report featuring some of CTs members and one of the coolest dioramas ever made :P

So uh.. Ian... what models of yours won what?

The martial artist got third in the 'hypothetical' category as the figure is s sort of floating, ya know? Errm the harlequin got second in non-anime Fantasy/Sci-fi figure, the child acolyte nabbed first in the same category and best figure of show. The Russian placed in the historical category with a 2nd, I'm probably the most happy about that one because the judges must have seen past his shiny pants. :wink: My trusty ol' miners finally took an actual award (2nd) in 'Collection' and I also won gold in the fantasy figure category for juniors 2 (13-17 years of age).
