Apparently the Warpstone competition will still be held, just not in Conflicts. Where did you find that out? I wonder if they are just pulling the tournament out of the conflict then? Member of Warseer e-mailed Cory Burns, who in turn answered that there would still be the Warpstone painting contest. I don't really see the logic in seperating the tournament from the conflict, but hopefully both will still be around in some form anyhow.

Part of it.. . The tournament just didnt offer anything RT tournaments didnt and cost more. Infact, often stores hold better tournaments. If they use that same space for open gaming, that would be good. Except... then why say they are getting rid of conflicts, and not just conflict tournaments.

Because now someone from the area has to host the conflict, and they will help you. If no one hosts one no conflict.

in a way it's a good thing for you. get people together and get organized, with the help of a few indies and clubs you could put your own annual event on that isn't limited to one companies range of models and games. you could get a few popular games system tournaments under one roof as well as a far more organized painting comp. it would bring together people that like different systems (warmachine, confrontation and warhammer) as well as modellers that do all sorts of periods/styles. this will only benefit the comunity by bringing it together, as long as you stand together and get organized. it's already started in the uk as the conflicts and painting comps may not have been stopped but they are getting realy poorly organized. just an idea guys.
